Curragh, Ballyvarra, Lisnagry, Co. Limerick. Peacefully at the University Hospital Limerick. Beloved wife of the late William (Willie). Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons Pat, Larry & Liam, daughters-in-law Mary, Diane and Deirdre, grandchildren Laura, Aidan, Cathal, Colm, Paul and Aoife, great-grandson Max James, sisters-in-law Bridie Harvey and Rose O’Connor, extended family, relatives and friends.

Catherine (Kathleen) Devane (née Maguire)
May 26, 2021

(Kiladoon, Co. Mayo, and Barrington’s Bridge, Lisnagry, Co. Limerick).  Peacefully in her 94th year in the tender care of the doctors and staff of the CCU at UHL. Predeceased by her loving husband Dr Derry Devane (formerly St. John’s Hospital Limerick), her parents Maura and Tom Maguire, brother Audie, and John Devane and Sue Devane. Deeply mourned by Barbara & Frank Fitzgibbon, their children and grandchildren, the Devane, Maguire and Gibbons families, and a wide community of friends.

A private Requiem Mass will be held in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Castletroy, this Saturday (29th May) at 11.00am followed by burial in Mount St Lawrence Cemetery.

Suddenly after a short illness, at University Hospital Limerick. Sadly missed by her loving husband Ger, sons Tony, Dermot, Liam and Shane, grandchildren Aoife, Aislinn, Niamh, Jack, Erin and Sean, daughters-in-law Catherine, Sandra, Louise and Shane’s partner Paul, her niece Nuala, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family and friends.

The funeral cortege will leave the family home on Thursday (May 27th) en-route to St. Nicholas’ Church, Westbury, Atlunkard for Requiem Mass at 11 am.
