An Caisleán , the annual parish journal was the brainchild of the late Joe Carroll and came into existence for the first time in 1997. It is the living history of our parish which will be there for future generations to read and see what life was like back at the turn of the century in Castleconnell, Ahane and Montpelier! We include a variety of history articles, sporting and other events which take place in the parish also stories of fiction, poetry and photographs of people, past and present. It is enjoyed globally in many far flung places.
