“Raise the Roof “

On Sunday evening we had our first fundraiser for the repairs of St Joseph’s Church roof.  We  are most obliged and thankful to Kerry Hurley,  and her amazing rock choir The Rolling Tones, backed by Bradshaw’s Ukulele Group (The BUGs) who played to a full Church.  Both groups offered their services free of charge for the evening. The festive  music and song was  wonderful and uplifting  and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended and those who watched and listened via our webcam. The Church was beautifully lit and decorated for the event which all added to the Christmas atmosphere, giving the local community a marvelous start to Christmas week. Both of our Priests, Fr. Willie Teehan and Fr. James Michael, were delighted with the response to our appeal for the roof restoration project and are very grateful to everyone who made this fabulous event possible.
